Fifty villagers, including her mother Senada and older sister Sanda, disappeared or were killed. For sixteen years, it was believed that the then nine-month-old Senida suffered the same fate. This is evidenced by the monument to the murdered and missing, which is located in the nearby town of Hajvazi, and on which Senida’s name is engraved. However, Senida’s story continued. In 1993, little Senida was placed in the Belgrade Janković family, in the home of Živka and Živan, but under another name - Mila Janković.
