short film by Šejla Kamerić
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, 2010, color, HD, 18ʼ
Premiered at the 16. Sarajevo Film Festival, Competition Program.
The film was inspired by ‘Engaged Couple from Heaven’, short stories of Mirko Kovač. Like some mantra, these words are an instrument of contemplation, taking us to a new dimension where pursuit for happiness becomes the only way to survive. This film is a remembrance, a zone where time exists in a different way.
Šejla Kamerić was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1976. In 1999 she completed studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Graphic Design. Lives and works in Sarajevo and Berlin. Šejla Kamerić uses mainly photography and video as media juxtaposing an explicit social context with intimate perspectives.
